Ryan Smith is the host of the #OPENTOWORK Stories Podcast, where he provides a platform for job seekers to share their stories and connect with potential opportunities. Previously, Ryan was the longtime host of the Combat Sports Talk Podcast, which ran from 2011 to 2020, blending his passion for sports with his skill in storytelling.

Ryan has served as a corporate voice-over talent for companies like Active Network, Mitel, and Extreme Networks. He currently curates the RyanSmithSays blog and is the Principal Marketing Consultant at luminousblue, an independent marketing firm that specializes in helping organizations with marketing services when they lack the necessary internal resources.

As an expert storyteller, Ryan’s Intentional Storytelling approach helps businesses differentiate themselves and build stronger connections with their customers. In addition, he teaches humorous storytelling and, as a stand-up comedian and improviser, helps individuals across the Dallas Metroplex gain confidence in public speaking.

Ryan holds a double major in Information Systems and Business Management from Baylor University and a master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Texas at Dallas.
